Because AFAIK existing TD shareholders now holding SPOI will be able to buy your position IF they want to. I'm speaking only for TD clients,not sure about the rest. But you would have to be taking a liquidating position when you enter a sell order.

But a person with a TD account and not a shareholder of SPOI can't take a starter position and buy your shares. If other brokers go the same route your pretty much stuck with the shares until the CE goes off and TD lifts the restrictions.

Like I said it's not just this one,it's thousands of tickers.
