Great_Points_But_There's_A_Dif_Between_Federally_Legal_and_Federally_Permissable

The latter is already occurring; but the problem for MSOs is a matter of transporting across state lines and International borders (for cannabis/thc and hemp/cbd). So, it's my understanding that US based MSOs can only cultivate/produce/distribute within that state only. I believe that hemp/cbd is a little different for research/medical purposes?

And, w/ CGC....they are dancing around "legalisation". It's been awhile since I've looked at Constellation, but have they produced CBD beverages that is already being sold in USA or no? Competitors are already selling cbd and/or THC beverages in USA on a limited basis - and again, I think that they are doing that because the Federal government is looking the other way....for the time being - which, as in politics - can change on a dime. That's where Legalization federally, rescheduling/reclassifying MJ/thc, and banking are all important - and intertwined.

Just my 2 cents

great post, btw. thanks for your reply

The house has put banking regulation in the last two COVID-19 relief bills. And it has then been removed in debates within the senate afterward.

If the house recommends the same COVID-19 Bill as before. i.e. the $1.9T dollar plan. The one that is currently being put forward. The banking changes will be included. And when the Dems push this around the filibuster. We will get canna-banking U.S. wide.

This is coming in the next 2-3 weeks.

As much as the talking heads online/TV say canopy is waiting for "legalization." and will not move FWD with the acreage deals before are just trying to keep the lid on this beast. Klein has been careful on his wording around this. But never once has he said CGC is waiting for legalization. But he did say they would be selling beverages in the U.S. this summer. I think he means at a larger than MSO scale. interstate commerce.

The wording is, "becomes federally permissible." Not federally legalized. I think that the triggering event is much closer than people think.

Constellation cannot afford to bring Canopy under corporate control above a share period average of $65 USD. So I see this all coming together more quickly than others expect.

Wouldn't want to be short or on the sidelines for the next month. Could get pretty wild.

What do you mean can't bring them in over $65 usd? I believe they have warrants that expire in 2023 for price of $39 usd that they can always use, and more warrants at around $60 usd besides the vwap ones...
