The fact I did not succeed installing Linux to my book is certainly not due to its CPU. It's either the plattform or my talents. (Anything can go wrong. I have seen folks inserting CDs face down into drives and complain bitterly the shit does not work right ;<) ).
Don't feel bad! After building machines for many years I pulled a real boner when I put the quad together. I had it laying on it's side and slid a CD_Rom into it. I then stood it up went into BIOS to boot from it to install the OS. The case was facing a bit the other way so I felt around for the button to open it, placed the CD on the tray and gave it a nudge only to have the CD spit onto the floor. Did it again, on the floor!
You may have figured it out.
I had the drive in upside down...WTF.
Pretty dum no?
