(IMO), Sounds like the MM's are breaking up the the direct orders and filling them piece meal so it does not attract sharks.

My theory is that if the volume size and price remains low, it can be taken as discouraging action, to induce other weak holders to sell out.

I don't know this but, the float could be about locked up.
