I am not sure if you are implying they are holding "material" news until next week, or you just mean the podcast .. because ( and correct me if im wrong) but doesnt a company have like a 3 day window to release the material news once it's solidified?
So if thats the case, they legally can not hold onto something if it's material ..

A podcast/company business update is okay
