Eddie's the KING of spreading non-public information by phone, email and private messinger. He does so because (a) he doesn't have to go on the public record and incriminate himself knowing that others will divulge what he allegedly said and/or (b) in order string people along and/or (c) to pass along illegal inside information to people with large followings whom he rewards in exchange for their recommendations.
People have bought his rumors and is stalling on announcing his news as it will likely be underwhelmingly lame as usual. His 2020 annual report isn't due for months.
