That may or may not be true, but the Dec 21 PR is as usual vague on details:

"The Company will now complete site initiation visits and contracts to add additional clinical sites to the study."

While completing suggests or implies that there have already been site initiation visits, it could also mean that as of that date they hadn't actually started.

Leo Ehrlich is a master of vague and amorphous statements that can be interpreted in the most positive way possible (and always are by true believers, in spite of history suggesting they should be treated with extreme caution), while allowing himself enough wiggle room to avoid being sued or prosecuted for outright lying in an official PR.

My guess is that while they may have talked informally to a couple of sites, none of the real ground work had been conducted when that PR was released.

FPFV will almost certainly be PR'ed. Let's see when that occurs.

I don’t believe anything is wrong and Ipix will start their trials soon. I spoke to somebody in England yesterday where hospitals are in crisis with no beds and ambulances queuing up to unload dying patients. It’s bloody awful and if conditions here are similar it would make it that much harder to tie down trials. Don’t fuss they will start soon as Ipix have said.

I wanted to see what happened after another week or two, and still nothing.

What's the missing ingredient to actually initiate or start P2?

We have the funds from the financing arrangements

We have the manufactured drug (per Nov 16th PR)
We have an active IND (per Dec 21st PR)
B given fast track status (per Jan 14th PR)
We have sites (per Dec 21st PR)
There are still many people hospitalized with Covid around the world

Is there a missing ingredient? It would seem leadership is the missing ingredient, however the prerequisite steps prior to a P2 seem to be covered. Something is just not adding up
