My understanding is they spent one $billion buying stock back.. starting back when stock was at about $40.. and continuing down to about $10 when they stopped buying. So if we use a (guess) of average price of stock buyback of $20... that means they bought back about 50 million shares. ASSUMING MY ESTIMATED NUMBERS ARE CORRECT. If they did the buying at higher prices... much fewer shares would have been received. I am not sure what my point is. :) :) :)
