Ignorance is not bliss when investing.

The article you linked highlights promising results for another generic drug being repurposed for COVID.

I was unfamiliar with colchicine, but 5 minutes of research shows that the two companies that sell the brand name version (Mitigare by Hikma Pharmaceuticals and Colcrys by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company) are not participating in any clinical trials for the drug and COVID. This means the drug is being investigated independent of a corporate sponsor.

Yet there are 27 clinical trials listed on ClinicalTrials.gov (search results). Of those, 3 were completed, 1 was withdrawn, 18 are recruiting, and 5 are not yet recruiting.

Did any of my fellow IPIX followers know about colchicine before today? It's been used to treat gout since the 6th century AD.
