tisdal, see my notes below from the MJ1 press releases regarding casing. MJ1 is good guidance for MJ2 taking into account that MJ2 benefits from the MJ1 experience, but that MJ2 is directional while MJ1 was vertical. Once drilling has a significant horizontal component, then depth as measured vertically slows considerably.
It took about 30 days to reach the 18-5/8" casing point for MJ1. MJ2 should be at that depth in about a week. Don't know if Zion mgt will announce that milestone or not.
MJ1 had considerable delays beginning at a depth of 2,000 meters due to formation issues. The MJ2 plan will take these issues into account and probably will not be delayed.
Zion mgt did not state MJ2's first target, but it might be in the Cretaceous, which would be about 1,800 meters and maybe still a month of drilling.
