If you freeze a stock it is essentially a stock that has been sold, it will cost you your monthly trade to buy back that stock or any other qualifying stock (If you used your monthly trade it will cost you 1 of your three wildcard trades), it doesn't have to be that stock to be bought with the imaginary proceeds, it can be any qualifying stock. So the answer is it can be unfrozen later, essentially it is an imaginary cash position that can be deployed to any qualifying stock at a later time in the contest when you so desire. Hope this helps.
