HailMary, that is quite a system! Premium laptop at a premium price, running over $3000 for a typically configured system. (Clicking on the picture leads to the configuration page.) However, with performance and graphics matched against the fastest desktops, there will be buyers for this gem.

There may be one more plus in Centrino. So many people got crappy P4-based laptops (crappy because P4 is just not designed for portable solutions, there is no such thing as good P4 laptop) that they feel the urgent need to upgrade. Obviously, Centrino is probably just the only choice. Both Crusoe and Athlon-M are pretty exotic and very few models exists.

HailMary, there is actually a bit more to A64 as a DTR offering than meets the eye right now (more on that as more information becomes available on the web). As an indication, from your link:

The new Voodoo ENVY m:855 makes other notebooks look like they’re standing still. The first to feature an AMD Athlon 64 for notebooks, this desktop replacement is like a finely tuned F1 race car. With features such as the ATI Mobility 9600 Pro, an AMD 64 Bit Processor – and battery life that in real world tests bests our Centrino notebook, you better believe the engineering that went into this baby was well worth it. The Voodoo ENVY m:855 bests all desktop replacement notebooks in almost every category – it’s lighter, smaller, faster and once you go 64 bit, you never go back.

A64 is currently the best offering for the DTR/high-end notebook space, and this space is certainly not tiny by any means. I see a lot of potential here.
