DeGrado- gimme a break already. Great career, but his skill set is not the x factor all here pretend it is. He is not a clinical trials specialist. He is not an epidemiologist.

How helpful was he when he coulda helped? With papers and grants? You know, the stuff he does all the time.

Did IP get a grant to look at other viruses? NO.
Did IP get more grants to investigate IP and B? Umm, NO.
Did IP produce a peer reviewed paper of B v C research? Sigh No. They have not even managed to do that. They submitterd prepub, and that was all/

He is a guy who knows the ins and outs of grants forward and backward- his entire career is running labs and getting grants and publishing papers.

So for the things that he knows how to do he has not been helpful so far as one can see.

And now his skill set is NOT what IP needs.

Great post Dr. Paddleboarder! DeGrado's return to Brilacidin was brilliant and his knowledge/experience is priceless!

Go Leo & IPIX!

Great post. Having the William Degrado research lab at UCSF is a testament to this man.
The honor of receiving 15 prestigious awards from associates in his field of expertise says it all. Every honor from the Eli Lilly award in biological chemistry to being honored by the American academy of sciences and basically everything in between.
Between awards he has found the time to have published 415 scientific papers for the medical world.
Being named President of the protein society is a statement of his accomplishments by his college's.
Their website states that UCSF labs are investigating multiple CV therapeutics including REM. My bet is BRILACIDIN is being researched right at this moment at UCSF labs.

I was done buying shares or thought I was until the news of Dr Degrados arrival to IPIX. The RBLs spectacular results of BRILACIDIN *426* only clarified I made the right decision by adding to my bundle.
The financial gains will be satisfying but getting back to the life I lived before 2020 is more important to me.I expect BRILACIDIN *426* being part of bringing normalcy back to society.

Then IPIX can start opening the entire BRILACIDIN platform for a multitude of other ailments.
Trials start in a matter of days..

BRILACIDIN *426* is on the way...

What do you mean by this? In academics, every researcher running a lab has the lab named after them, right?

If you got grants, and had students, postdocs, and lab techs working on projects under your supervision, your lab would be called the Paddleboarder lab at iHub University.

I know quite a few young academic researchers running multi-million dollar labs with dozens of people working in them, and yes, these labs are all named after the PI / doctor running the lab.

He does have an impressive academic CV. Hopefully he will be able to help us see his invention through to helping people in the clinic. That is the goal of all inventors and academics, I would imagine.
