He has extensive experience in Fintech platforms, including mobile financial services software, convergent payments schemes (card to mobile), NFS, stored value and prepaid services. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alternet Systems, Inc. (OTC:ALYI) for 10 years, raising over 10MM USD in the capital markets, investing in growth stage companies, and executing multiple mergers and acquisitions, as well as the sale of several subsidiaries.
Former Chairman and CEO of Utiba Americas, a leading developer of mobile financial services software solutions, through his efforts Utiba reached 66% market share in the Americas in less than 4 years. Utiba Americas, successfully engaged projects with America Movil, Digicel Group, Tigo, Citibank, Prosa, Banrural, Davivienda, Banco FIEd and several other Banks and Mobile Network Operators, and established key partnerships and joint ventures with Mastercard and Visa. Utiba Americas was successfully and profitably sold to Amdocs in March of 2014.
Established a joint venture with the leading Chinese provider of NFS applications for the transportation industry, TCPS (Tianjin Contactless Payment Systems), deploying multiple NFS transportation prepaid fare collections systems in the Americas and working with the largest mass rapid transit vehicle manufacturers in the world.
