West Warwick is happy to have them. The spot is perfect for this facility. It is the neighboring town that is causing most of the trouble.

Johnston was always the first place you would think to put it because that’s where Rhode Island resource recovery aka our state landfill is. The previous location had a greedy landlord who wanted more money an nick told him to screw. The landfill is off i295. Which although centrally located in our state it’s not the most accessible if you were driving shipments from out of state. The west Warwick site is right off of i95, which is far more convenient for shipments coming from out of state. To give some perspective East Greenwich is full of a bunch of rich aholes that live near the water. West Warwick is a historical warehouse type area. The two cities are complete opposites. The new site is right off the highway and it’s surrounded by woods. It’s perfect. East Greenwich can screw haha
