Chris released a statement regarding this. They are not the company Elon Musk was referring to. Signal is a non profit private company much like whatsapp or Facebook messenger. This company has nothing to do with them. The owner had stated this but of course it gets rolled into what you see today. I feel bad for anyone that bought this and can't sell it now.
