In April 2004 the press portal was founded by the lawyer and journalist Roland Becker from Hamburg. In April 2006 the portal was supplemented by a weblog in which current news and press releases can be commented on. On July 30, 2007, the portal reached its 100,000 press release. [4] In 2018 the press portal OpenPR merged with the PR distributor Connektar from Sebastian Einbock, who also heads the "Juraforum". The services of the openPR portal were replaced by various chargeable services, such as B. the preparation of press releases or a final editing.
