The technology and product weren't "proven," they set up a prototype of concept while promising their "next generation" would be scaled with a higher energy density to reduce size and increase capacity. Thing is, they have never delivered because they can't.
That backup charger from the 2016 IEEE blogger's article was as big as a coke can to charge a phone 1 time. I have a backup charger I bought over 3 years ago the size of my phone that will charge it 4 times.
All this company has done is mislead their private investors with bogus claims while spending like drunken sailors (literally).
