It will trade in US. If xrp is declared as a security ripple will have to register it as a security and then coinbase is already certified to sell it.

They have to halt trading because they are trying to get publicly listed and can’t be caught up in an sec Lawsuit themselves.

Ripple can move headquarters to japan or UK and continue without registering as a security if they want too
