I once helped set up a temporary hospital (after a hurricane). Had a few hundred beds, an ED and a small ICU. It didn't cost much, and was staffed for free out of the federal National Disaster Medical System and DOD assets. Ok, not actually free, but the gov was already supporting many of those assets. It was an ok set up, but lacked virtually all the rest of the support a good hospital had (including consulting docs in various specialties). Really, just a huge warehouse with beds and nurses/docs/paramedics. Way better than nothing but not great, and not reflective of the care Trump, Christie, etc. or even an "average American" could receive.
