But still, what causes fluid buildup in the lungs? Does this happen because hyperactive myeloid cells are attacking the lungs, and impairing the ability of the lungs to function?

To me, it is a question of what comes first, the chicken or the egg. I have a loved one who died of senile degeneration of the brain. She was only 66. But what caused the degeneration? I watched as she lost motor control, and her speech and hearing became severely impaired. Neurological disorders are often observed in Covid patients, stemming from encephalitis or encephalopathy. Sometimes, those symptoms are actually caused, in part, by the drug being used to treat the patient.

But, in our examples, what was really the cause of death, the edema/degenerationation, or might those have been caused by Covid?
