imho, there is NOT as much opportunity in a secular bear, BUT there is still plenty of ways to make money in a market that changes trend often. The reasons it doesn't work as well is there are many more ways to lose money in such a market because of all the direction changes. Imho, the powers that be in the market have greater ability to exercise there manipulation of it in a secular bear. Ta works much better in a bear market. A big picture view would cause us all to buy dips in a bull, and trade intermediate trend changes in a bear. Ande that would be all we need to do
