#132369 RE: Grip it and Sip It #132366

I was told the same thing by a coder I am acquainted with at the hospital. The interesting thing is leronlimab has a PCS code. This is for IN HOSPITAL patients. I got to thinking: the patients being trialed are in the hospital, ICU most likely. If approved, leronlimab would get a PCS ICD 10 code. MY speculation and granted it is wishful thinking but I think has a reasonable basis: leronlimab will get at least EAU based on the data the DSMB has seen not only from the 50% read out but at 75% soon. Then, in a couple weeks, the ICD PSC code will be used for diagnosis, billing, end results, etc. for severe/critical patients. The ICD data will be tracked like any other procedure that currently uses their code whether a hip device placed in a fractured hip, stents in cardiac care, etc. Why else give a code? I mean, if it was strictly for tracking mortality, why do other mAb's being used in trials not have a specific code? And why did they not have one beginning in their HIV trials and cancer? Just my thoughts.
