No...but it can take awhile to get your money out. JCP had a very large short interest balance prior to the bankruptcy...over 100 million shares.

Personally I think this action is nothing more than the usual bump a Q stock gets when it “exits” bankruptcy with some thinking it is a good thing for the stock.

But the clock is now ticking on the cancellation.
