You know whats odd is the story isnt even consistent. Sonny says that they tested Si3N4 antiviral purely out of academic curiousity in 2019. But the antiviral provisional patent was filed in 2018 meaning they tested this in 2017 or first half 2018. Hell even Zimmer added Jafry from Thermo Fisher to its board. Perfect addition if you plan to utilize Sintx Si3N4 Antimicrobial properties.

Sonny also mentioned the idea was shelved in that article which again doesnt add up considering the potential uses mentioned in the 2018 PR.
