#2382 RE: sambeaux #2379

It is a no brainer understanding to know that a Biden administration will return to the Obama administration war with coal and coal companies. As before, it will be done under arguments of environmental concerns, and to promote "alternative" forms of energy. Also as before, and as stated in many posts here, the arguments in favor of coal mining destruction will ignore the many coal uses which are not related to generating electricity. Therefore you can expect the major price increases of steel, glass, plastic, pharmaceuticals, fiver glass, Plexiglas, and other products made from or with the use of coal.

The cost of electricity will also increase as result of using more expensive forms of power, and the fact that the unpaid long term and short term debt used to build, improve, and maintain coal systems, including transmissions lines, substations, rail lines, trucking systems, and coal handling equipment, will have to be paid from revenue form the other forms of energy.

There is zero application of science which will pay for all those unamortized costs and debt. It will have to come form the rate payers, and in some cases, taxpayers.
