The point they miss is that housing is already privatized....the GSEs have a conservator....which is being accused of over reach in the courts.

The GSEs can be released and the government can go back to its regulator role. Something the government was supposed to be doing before the housing bubble.

Who lowered the lending standards in the first place? It was not the GSEs that forced the issue.

They are worried we shareholders may make money, so therefore Fannie should not be privatized (until they can buy shares themselves).
