No, of course Hayter knows who he sold the shell to. I'm working on getting that information through compulsory process, and I'm hoping he doesn't resist it since there's nothing in it to hurt him if he's not involved.

I don't think Eddie Rosenman was who he sold the shell to, JMHO. I think Eddie is a nominee for the guys. I think Eddie is nothing but a guy who was paid some money to be the nominee. Again, just my guess.
