Done hundreds of cases, assisted hundreds of cases, never had a situation where a patient coded without reason. You have to plan for those contingencies. I have assisted in a case where the ivc was nicked and we converted without problems with the Si at that time. No issues. Yes, it's no ideal and does take team coordination. But to have someone code without any prior medical disease or history would be rare. That would be poor preoperative evaluation and more of an anesthesia issue than the robot. Again, Xi is not ideal, and a single arm is wonderful to have, but until we know surgeons have used we don't know what the benefits and weakness that Enos might have.
