The problem with this is, these folks said a good entry point to take a short on the EUR/USD was at 1.3201, which they were basing on their tech analysis.

And yes, that would have been a decent point, but they don't really tell you where to get out, so if you got out at today's bottom, you would have only made 40 pips.

Based on my non-tech indicators, I knew to take a short on the EUR/USD at 1.3292 and rode it all the way to 1.3164, then took a long.

The other thing is, this tutorial is giving an analysis and a history, which is OK, but what about some forecasting?

Another reason I love fundamentals is because I can draw a trendline to determine the top/resistance or the bottom/support. Then I use the upcoming eco news to make my moves. If I had used tech indicators to trade today, I would have left a good 80 pips on the table.

I keep harping on the fundamentals because I still think a lot of traders are somewhat ignorant of then and some just flat out don't even know they exist and know how they affect the market.

I do find the Fib retracements helpful.
