Proclamations are one thing. Reality is another. KBLB's reality is they've produced, they are producing, and they will continue to produce...SPIDER SILK.

Others have since moved on to other areas of interest. Or, they will add Spider Silk to the list of things they provide because it's the "cool, new" thing. No problem. KBLB doesn't mind "monopoly by default." They welcome the "competition," though. It's just not really a viable argument right now. Specialty fibers made of Spider Silk versus "goo" composite blends mimicking the fiber? Come on. Common sense shows why they put it into eco-novelties and are marketing those.

DROP-IN AND GO KBLB! HOLDING THE GOLDEN!!!

<< I've seen several companies proclaim to be the leader in spider silk >>

And KBLB isn't one of them anymore. They have officially dropped out of the race.

If you will notice, KBLB has changed their PRs.

Until Apr 2020, the PRs used to start out with:

"the leading developer of spider silk based fibers"

Then in Jun 2020 they changed it to:

"a leading developer of spider silk based fibers"

Now they don't put anything at the beginning. They put this at the end:

"is a developer of genetically engineered spider silk based fiber technologies."

So they are now admitting that they are not "the" leading developer, or even "a" leading developer. They also admitted that they aren't a developer of "fibers", but of "fiber technologies".

That is very telling...
