I was looking to take some money off the table to pay for my new car, which I think has a loan rate of c5% per annum

I guess when we are increasing SP by more than 5% a month I will keep my money in PLUG as it is a far better use.

That is how you have to look at it - monthly SP increase not daily or even weekly we have seen how the price will dip to the 100 DMA and bounce right back.
