The reason I haven't signed up for it is due to the fact many medical groups don't take new patients with medicare. Payments are too low.

If I knew I were in my final resting spot I'd sign up for it. But, expecting to move I want to be able to choose a medical group freely without having to stick to those that take new medicare patients.

Nothing is perfect.

This new vaccine hasn't been around enough to know how long a person will be protected. One month, two or three month? What happens if someone takes the vaccine and happens to be exposed to and gets covid immediately? With the covid hit them harder than it normally would have? A lot of questions remain.

Don’t think it has ever been tried here so to my knowledge it hasn’t failed in fact Medicare is very successful and is as close to socialized medicine as you can get. I grew up on NHS, knew nothing different and I have absolutely no complaints.

....either do the rest of industrialized world whom all have universal coverage

Medicare is terrific....had knee replaced by world class orthopedic surgeon in world class facility..paid nothing..not a thin red cent...it is weird to not have that worry be as I did, even with great private insurance, before I became eligible
