Unfortunately that's untrue - the US is near the top of the list for mortality per head of population:

Sadly the US will have greater need of a successful treatment than most other Developed nations, especially with the current explosion in cases and recent superspreader events associated with the election.

Let's hope brilacidin is that treatment, but there's a long way to go before that can be shown.
