walldog,
So many times on this message board we have posters with the idea that they can run this company from their spare room computers...& run it better than Offor or those with professional backgrounds whom he hires.
In this case Offor knows the territory and Ledbetter knows the oil business. These guys are not the idiots that some here think. In fact I can't imagine anyone investing in ERHC and then showing a 'no confidence' attitude in Offor. If I didn't think that Offor had a clue I would sell and find another investment...one that had a mangagement team I believed in.
Myself, I don't care where Offor and Ledbetter choose to find new targets for investment as I understand that they see a lot clearer picture than I could ever see from my vantage point. Offor knows the people in the various regions better than I ever could...Ledbetter knows what opportunities to look for better than I ever could.
Those complaining about Offors potential moves...before they are even fully known, are the ones that I don't understand...not at all!!! If Offor makes a bad move...one that doesn't work out...then posters can complain all they want, but until then I guess they could always email thier concerns to the company. Maybe thier estute abilities to run ERHC will be recognized...but, to date, I am not aware of Offor asking anyone here for advice.
Also, I don't think that Offor would have taken this step (with Ledbetter) if there was even a sniff of these buyin/buyout dreams that some post over and over. I'd be OK with a buyin/buyout at the right price but that is not likely IMHO...Addax maybe...ERHC probably not. The route Offor is pursuing is just fine with me. Anything and everything he can come up with to create the possibilities of excitement to potential investors...moves which raise our percieved value and corresponding SP is great in my book. This is his way of creating possibilities for the type of PR that everyone wanted last summer.
Myself, I feel good about the direction we are headed...because I trust that Offor and Ledbetter will make good decisions and only pursue opportunities that will bring us added value...not jump willy-nilly into no-win situations. Why would anyone on this board think otherwise?
