The sacklers knew the dangers- I'm sure there were some sacklers that hurt themselves, but wouldn't touch the produce from their own garden.

Early 90's I got into a car accident on my way to work. Crushed my hand requiring "pins" to reconnect the bone(s). Operating doc at Beth Isreal, Boston, prescribed percocet. I walked out with the small vial provided and a refill prescription in hand. Never utilized either. Pain is a nuisance, but bearable... it seldom kills and does usually fade for many situations, I realize not all.
