It’s an interesting thought, , however currently there is no Fed program for anything over .3. Hemp only. And they still don’t have any firm regulations in place, including GRAS for under .3 They will, maybe by next summer, again maybe. So CA laws don’t match US laws.
What you refer to is the junk products, and there is a lot of it. This is because there is little in the way of enforcement on the CBD side. Form the FED side anything over .3 is not allowed, some states do have their own laws, regulations but even those are not aligned.
In regards to the competition, there are currently well over 10,000, of those several hundred already run thru there labs, most don’t. And they don’t, I’m guessing here, so they can bypass the cost. In any event they would likely not change what there doing. Again, no enforcement. And most already know they will be gone after the FED passes some regulations
Then there is the black market. A separate issue but still not going away.
But I will leave with a little something. There is no way the FED can test all the product that these companies sell. They will have to hire out labs, contract them or certify them, something of that order.
I should also mention EU is I believe .2 cbd. Anything over is grass not hemp. Which again is different.
One last thing to factor. Currently as I mentioned above there are no regulations from the FED. So the starting point is exactly what are they going to require? There is a lot in that question.
