Surprisingly short volume way down yesterday!

Daily short volume for a OTC stock is meaningless. Other than most of the retail trading was in house broker trades.

Only thing interesting is FINRA short interest for ZNOG is a month behind.

Oops... they aren't behind. Settlement date up to 30-Sep, released on 09-Oct was 830,926. Where short interest shouldn't be confused with an actual short position (ref: SEC rules 201-203). Next settlement date of 15-Oct will be release 26-Oct for ZNOG. It's basically the usual - short "interest" low, and likely an artifact of Rule 203.
