cool idea. Goes along with nasal or lung inhaler for prophylaxis idea.

The problem is that there is no delivery system for the mask, or the inhalers, and company has announced a hospital based IV trial as their goal.

Inhaler or mask interesting-

Dr Scott at Fox Chase did much of the work on polymerization of Brilacidin. At that time most of the applications were for coating medical devices, sutures catheters and the like.

It was reported Johnson and Johnson was very interested in the technology, but they could not move forward because Brilacidin was never approved as an antibiotic.

Of course if it was approved as an antiviral then it could be utilized.

Who was your source for the rumor?

Not to be nosy, but I heard a very faint tangential rumor Dr DeGrado was "working on his own Brilacidin project"

Any way I hope there is some truth to your rumor. Otherwise you are one sick dude.

"effective for up to 30 days"

Serious or just messing around?

If true, I would think it would be effective for more than 30 days since it is synthetic. What is the half life of a defensin mimetic?

I wonder if something like that would require FDA approval? ANY cash flow would greatly enhance our prospects.

Dr. Paddleboarder said,

Brilacidin coated masks that are totally effective for up to 30 days against the virus to be marketable soon. If rumor is true it will be worth BILLIONS.
