Calabria working slower is just what is seen on the surface. Imagine what is going on in the background and all the moving pieces...

Calabria actually does care. And he actually does know what he's doing. He's the best guy for the job of recap and release, he's just working slower than we would have hoped. The ultimate capital levels aren't really important, anyway. No matter what they are, they are easy to fill if Treasury is cooperative.

Anyone who wants MC out, be careful what you wish for...

I agree that he cares, knows what he is doing and has actually got us on the road to recap. This is more than anyone else has done. I think he was the man for the job to get us off the dime.
But its time to changes horses. Were we disagree is in the importance of the cap levels - to me they are at the heart of our chances of housing policy success or failure and whether or not we will be fairly treated as stockholders. You saw the comments to the Cap rule. The rule mandates a cap level that is clearly and unambiguously excessive and goes against his mandate to restore the GSEs to safety and soundness. He is letting his political philosophy get in the way.

I realize that Biden and a democratic Congress and a democratically appointed director may or may not be good for us.
But I think we are well on the way to release and the Dems will be reluctant to mess with success. We can and should change the proposed cap rule.

I don't want Calabria out - I do want him to pressure Mnuchin - as much is feasibly possible - to do the right thing ...

The law article adds to the epic saga. Homer would've been incredibly proud!

Calabra is a clown and makes a mockery of the office he hold on tight to.

Factually, if he'd have actually wanted to get something done, considering he's immune from congresss.... and the preseident... get it done.

Imagine all that power .. and his main concern is what's for lunch.

everyone should send the poor slob a salami on rye...

He's worse than Mel Twatt... in that twatt was completely incompetent, but seemingly this mo ron actually could have done something other than play at it...

in my book, punt him to the side and lets get a guy like ross perot or lee iaccoa who could get things done.
