#328490 RE: kfcyahoo #328489

I held an otc stock years ago in certificate form and was in shock when I saw how much my online trading account wanted to allow me to deposit them. That's why I'll quite often send a note to posters if I see them post anything about holding certificates or taking their shares in certificates. I usually suggest they inquire about fees for redeposit.

The fees were ridiculously high. The economy isn't the issue, the fact that most transactions are electronic these days is the issue. I ended up trying with a few different brokers. They just aren't set up to do it easily these days.

On top of that, it's easier to sell/trade them if held in an electronic account.

"Just to be clear. I'd NEVER hold certificates on a stock in this day and age."

Why? We are told we have a tremendous economy(dampened by covid, but the trajectory will soon ensue), the stock market is at, or near all time highs. Why your reluctance to hold stock certificates when things are booming?
