Which election outcome is best for the stock market ? I read an article that posited that the Dems winning the presidency and the Senate was the best outcome because it would mean a lot of spending by the Dems (ie a lot of stimulus). I think it would be better if the Reps held the Senate in order to block capital gains tax increases. Some are suggesting up to 49% capital gains taxes (ordinary income tax rate) which would be a hard hit to the stock market. What do other posters think ?
