I don't think you understand that the trial is for patients in ICU with respiratory failure on Oxygen. This isn't like Regeneron or Algernon studying people just coming down with Covid. Most other Covid drugs are able to rapidly enroll patients. Not the same here. And to show efficacy for these types of patients will take significantly less patients. For people coming down with Covid it will take huge numbers because most get better on their own anyway.

They were at 86-87 patients at that time on August 12th. If the DMC recommends going to 144 patients then it would be April before there is a data readout.

Even if the data shows that we should stop the trial, we should continue the trial and wait for however long it takes to finish the trail, instead of approving the drug and treating everyone now. Those last few cases are invaluable... we need the data! What do you think about starting a petition?
