Addressing your more altruistic note, if even by word of mouth, some patient's friend, family member or healthcare provider becomes aware of RLF-100, that knowledge, if acted upon, might save a life. I was very impressed when, during a recent Dr. Yo interview, Javitt said that as a matter of routine and upon receiving a request, the drug would be out the door and on its way the very next morning.
Personal note: About 3 years ago, a long-time family friend succumbed to ARDS brought on by MERS (became septic). Based upon what I have seen, I believe that were RLF-100 available at the time, his life may have been extended at least long enough to provide a chance for survival.
