16:01 ET - Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison says his government is looking into reports that China has been blocking imports of coal mined in the country. "It's not uncommon for domestic quotas to be in place in China," Morrison says, according to a transcript. China accounts for about 20% of demand for the seaborne, or export, coal market, according to analysts at Jefferies. Tighter quotas, they add, could pressure seaborne prices lower, affecting Peabody Energy and Glencore on the utility coal side, and Arch Resources, BHP Group and Anglo American with regards to coal used in steel production.
