I have a concern with where our Republican Congressman Dr Harris, that is on our DMC, stands on all this? Is he receiving pressure to delay or sabotage in favor of Trump's choices for EUA. Surely the FDA is the determinant factor in our EUA, but it is a concern of what political influence could come into play. I'm hoping Javitt chose this DMC well and still has influence and respect within the FDA that he seems to have. Will be an interesting few weeks coming up. The NEJM has also in unison of all authors signed a statement (very rare) in their displeasure with the current administrations handling of the Covid crisis.
