The "stating this" is asking for a reference to a publication stating that the day was "An incredible day in DIAGNOSTICS HISTORY..."". OBVIOUSLY! Not that it was simply mentioned, as you somehow believe.

My question is, why does something like this need to be re-explained in such detail?

So then, I'll ask you once again. Can you find me a SINGLE publication stating that this date was "An incredible day in DIAGNOSTICS HISTORY". Any publication, any professional website (aka not a pink sheet investing message board), you know, a story written by a professional analyst.
