Actually it never goes away. It merely becomes "Inactive Hold" after a yr.
What Kenny can do to keep the melodrama alive is milk the Hold for 3 months. Then announce they are refiling for a Phase 1. Of course that will take a few months to put together. And after a few "almost there" PR pumps, maybe in another 6-8 months another IND for a Phase 1? I give a Phase 1 IND about a 45% chance of getting accepted. Far better than the 2% for a Phase 2b, now on Hold.
If a Phase 1 CT ever gets cranked up, then comes the real circus. Years of Kenny PR pumps, before it fails.
