If we could know Peter Thiel’s thoughts we’d know just how to play this....
He’s playing the long game he has a trip 1s amount of stock snd rightfully so he was funding this 12-17 years ago when it was a money burning project. So he deserves to be positioned like this (assuming people see how many shares he’s packing as per those form 4s) and it’s completely reasonable for him to lighten up and sell some as I’m sure he’s waited a while to do so.
Only question is how much does he intend to sell short term. Another consideration is that he’s had the ability to sell at 4-6 dollars even while private so he doesn’t seem motivated to sell there. It wouldn’t surprise me if he pulled a Zuckerberg and he disclosed some 4s showing selling but then turned around and loaded cheaper prices after the market reacts to his selling.
All this said I do like PLTR and I nibbled it at 8.95 a bit ago just to have some.....but my interest will be tons more sincere if this bleeds lower.
Ps. Another consideration is the upcoming election. Palantir is unapologetically pro American which somehow gets spun as something negative these days. If Peter Thiel wasn’t a vocal repub I think the awareness around this company would be much more prevalent. All I’ll say about that
