Man I’d love that! I am in the “low risk” category with this thing still but it was a surprise.... random test... “Ah if I’d have known THAT, I wouldn’t have smoked those cigars and cigarettes for those years...” ... rearview mirror is always clearer.
Seems like my lungs are OK but I wonder if this lung issue would classify as co-morbidity with Covid... Being extra cautious anyway... Not taking chances.
If in future we had this RLF-100 as a treatment for Alpha1 folks like me or those who are much WORSE, that’d be great. It affects a small population but it IS genetic so if I have children it’s kind of a dice roll on what genes they’ll have... keeping it simple: which variation of this will they have?
Same as me, I hope, and hopefully not WORSE because then that would involve regular monitoring with a very real possibility of COPD in their future...
Lots of things to factor in already when making that decision on whether or not to bring youngsters into this world!!
